Welcome!
I am a Naarm/Melbourne-based artist. Drawing on autoethnographic approaches, my creative practice explores how neurodivergent perception and experience shape world-making practices in art. I am currently interested in how I and other autistic and disabled artists relate to the more-than-human world through monotropic creative identity and the vehicle of painterly abstraction.
I am also interested in how our creative practices can shape and reconfigure environments of care, identity and belonging.
I apply oils intuitively and iteratively to stretched linen and paper. A painting’s final ‘resting place’ is teased out after repeated building up, stripping back and reworking of early layers. My paintings arrive at themes my process grapples with — erasure, concealment, departure and, finally, rest.
